How to Find Out What's Up in the Sky Tonight?

How to know what celestial objects can be seen in the sky tonight? What time is sunset today? Star Walk 2 will show you what stars, planets and constellations will be visible in the sky above you tonight, what lunar phase is today, when the Sun rises and sets, and much more. Here’s how it works.

Step 1. Make sure that your current location is set in the app settings. Tap the menu icon in the lower right corner of the screen and choose “Visible Tonight”. You will see the objects that can be seen in your sky tonight and a grid with the information about their rise, set and culmination. Tap on the item and its data will appear on the grid.

Step 2. To know what is happening in the sky with the Sun, the Moon and four main planets, check the “Sky Live” section of Star Walk 2. Tap the menu icon in the lower right corner of the screen and choose “Sky Live”. You will be presented with the information about the objects’ rise and set times, elevation angle, daylight hours, the phases of the moon.
