How to Activate AR Mode?

Thanks to augmented reality technology, Star Walk 2 allows you to see the map of celestial objects overlaid on the image from your device’s camera. With the AR Mode, you can enjoy amazing illustrations of constellations, bright stars, planets and other objects towering over your current location. Follow our instructions and explore the night sky in AR.

Step 1. Make sure that the “Star Spotter” function is activated. This means that the app shows the sky that you see in reality and follows your movements. To activate the “Star Spotter” function, tilt your device up or tap the compass icon in the upper left corner of the screen.

Step 2. To activate the AR mode, tap on the camera icon in the upper right corner of the screen. For better results, adjust the settings with the slider bars in the right and left sides of the screen.
